CHA Guilds have made some tough decisions lately -- to either transition many of our beloved events to online or to postpone them until 2021. These changes have come with disappointment. And it's left a 50% gap in our annual fundraising for Children's Minnesota.
Without proceeds from our key Guild events CHA will face a critical shortfall of nearly $300,000 in contributed revenue this year. It's for this reason Guild members are hosting the Stand in the Gap Campaign. We need support from people like to maintain our support for innovative services at Children's Minnesota, like spiritual care and Child Life in the Emergency Department.

MAHTOMEDI GUILD
Founded in 1982, Mahtomedi Guild of has drawn members from the northeastern suburbs including Mahtomedi, Birchwood, City of Grant, North Oaks, Stillwater and White Bear Lake. Members and significant others enjoy gathering for summer solstice and look forward to a social gathering before the holidays this year. During the early years, the Mahtomedi Guild’s primary focus was the annual CHA Bazaar. Members have since organized bike benefits, holiday silent auctions, bunco events, Lobster-by-the-Lake Galas, style show/silent auctions, and community outreach at the Mahtomedi Guild booth on a summer Saturday during Mahtomedi Farmers’ Market.
Mahtomedi Guild Mission: We believe having a “party” is a good way to raise money!
NORTH OAKS 1 GUILD
North Oaks Guild 1 continues the long‑standing tradition of hosting the Holiday Home Tour, Boutique and Gala each November. Throughout the years, the event has provided much enjoyment for guild members. Along with the commitment and camaraderie, there is a real sense of contribution to children. Since its inception in 1962, the North Oaks Guild 1 has contributed over $1 million to support programs at Children’s Minnesota.
NORTH OAKS GUILD II
Formed in 1967, North Oaks Guild II celebrated its 50th year in 2017. The annual North Oaks Guild II Rummage Sale began in 1998, and while there were other fundraisers conducted during the Guild’s early years, the rummage sale has provided an excellent source of financial support in addition to serving the North Oaks community in reusing and repurposing unwanted items, and supporting local charities.
ABOUT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION
Children’s Hospital Association is the largest cumulative donor to Children’s Minnesota. For almost ninety years, CHA has committed to funding innovative, integral health care programs at Children’s Minnesota. We achieve our fundraising goals through our premier fall event, a spring event called Table Talk, fundraising from our 10 Guilds, an Annual Campaign, and many tributes and memorial gifts. CHA’s donors and volunteers are guided by the knowledge that rare and challenging circumstances require many hands and extraordinary care.
